This boot is handmade with leather from the famous Horween tannery, in Chicago, whose aim, for 119 years, has been to make "the best leather in the world".

We're excited to work with Horween leather; in this case"Genoa Oliva Brown", which is a rich, waxy olive-tanned leather, with full-grain, unadulterated texture.

The boot has our usual Dutch calfskin lining, with rubber and EVA "ICH BIN ATHEIST" sole, and is finished with a Blake Stitch.

We've only made a few pairs for starters, but we plan to make more in early 2025; meaning, if you find your size is already sold out, you're welcome to place a pre-order.

It's worth emphasising that this is a boot for lovers of rich texture, rather than smooth and uniform leather. The Horween Oliva has little wrinkles and creases, which create a lively naturalness and makes each boot unique. We've photographed a few different textures, to give an impression of how the leather can vary, from boot to boot.

green measuring tape - Atheist Shoes

Begin by finding out the length of your foot in cm (see the graphic below on how to do that), then calculate your European size, according to this formula:

SIZE = 1.5 X (FOOT LENGTH IN CM + 1.5)

That means, if your foot length is 28.5cm, you should add 1.5, to give you 30. Then multiply 30 by 1.5, to give you a European Shoe Size of 45 (assuming you don't have a very wide foot, in which case you might want to consider going up one size to 46).
