The ad Facebook didn’t want you to see
o there's a good deal of outrage expressed on Facebook about they.
And the Huffington Post even covered the issue.
Here's the original post that was rejected by Facebook when we tried to turn it into an ad. Initially, they claimed it was rejected because it was advertising "sexual products" and then, bizarrely, "because it mentions Facebook", when it doesn't. And more recently they say it was because it has a play button visible. And then finally because it got flagged as potentially paedophilic.
Anyhow, after 3 days, we finally have an apology from Facebook, which goes as follows:
"I apologize for the inconvenience you are currently facing. It appears some of your ads were mistakenly disapproved for adult content, and they've now been re-reviewed and approved.
Please note that although we approved your ads, these ads may remain paused until you resume them. You can access your ads and change their status at any time by clicking the Ads Manager or "Ads" tab in the Applications menu when you are logged in to your account. Then, to reactivate an ad:
(1) Click on the name of the campaign that contains the ad you'd like to reactivate.
(2) Under the "Status" column, click on the status that corresponds with that ad.
(3) Select "Active" from the drop-down menu
(4) Then click "Save."
You'll have to do this for each ad.
Also note, for the other ads disapproved for Facebook reference in the body/ title, to resubmit them remove the reference to Facebook or use "Facebook" instead of "facebook".
I once again apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your co-operation and understanding.
Thanks,
Aishra

But nothing about how or why it happened, nor what they're gonna do to improve their systems... it would be nice if folk didn't have to wait for international press coverage before they can get unreasonable censorship lifted.
