Production delay = pre-order new boots today! 🚀
Dear Cherished Customer,
You may have noticed that our webshop isn't quite as bountifully abundant, with different colours and sizes of shoe, as it usually is.
And you may also have noticed that we've been quiet over the summer.
Well, our shoemakers had a bit of a production wobble a few weeks back, which has caused the most almighty delay in our receiving new stock.
We've just about made it through the summer with enough shoes to meet demand in our Berlin shop, but our shelves get emptier by the day and, with our next delivery still a few weeks away, we're looking back to our Kickstarter days for inspiration and deploying a tried-and-trusted method to get us through the Autumn... the pre-order.
You, dear customer-for-whom-we're-grateful, can help keep the lights on at Atheist Shoes HQ, by buying shoes that don't actually exist.
At least not yet. Or rather they do exist, but aren't quite finished and won't be ready to ship until October.
Amongst them are two smashing new models, about which we're excited...
Fudge is a deliciously rich, middle-brown boot that craves the Autumn and Winter. It's fashioned from rain-comfortable waxed nubuck, created by our tannery partner in the far West of Germany.
It has the same achingly comfortable form as all our boots and is lined with supple calfskin lining (from the Netherlands), making for an overall lusciousness that must be deeply calorific (we guess that information is only useful should you end up on a desert island and need to make some tough choices).
Finished with our classic ICH BIN ATHEIST sole, Fudge is still in the works but 200 pairs should be ready to ship in mid-October.
Das Emerald Boot is handmade from extra-tumbled German Bullhide, for a very solid buttery softness, or an extremely soft solidity.
It pretty much does what all of our Das Boots have done down the years, and is very comforable upon the foot, what with being 100% calfskin lined and the same forgiving shape and construction as every shoe we have ever made.
It's finished with our rubber ICH BIN ATHEIST sole and comes with a bunch of different colour shoelaces.
We expect 99 pairs to arrive in Berlin by end of September, and you are welcome to navigate around disappointment by pre-ordering your size today.
* Fun fact - the Emerald boots photographed here have already been worn for a few weeks at time of photography. You can already see a slight washed-out appearance in patches, which is a typical thing to happen when you dye such a natural leather as this in such a vibrant colour *
