Our Bottle Green Boot was the surprise hit of the summer - and we're happy to follow up with a slightly less bootiful "Shoe", for those who prefer not to have two layers of leather between their ankles and the world.

Sadly, this will be our last outing with this particular leather, as the tannery won't be making it any more. So we encourage any greenophiles amongst you to seize the moment.

Bottle green is a very particular green. It's almost British Racing Green, but has a little more olive.

The leather is orthopaedic grade, barrel-dyed napa; rich, soft and smooth, yet sturdy, with an aniline finish and subtle sheen.

We've yet to wear it long term, so we're excited to learn (also from our customers) how the appearance develops over time, but we have high hopes, as this is a leather used by many bespoke shoemakers in Germany.

Bottle green complements dark grey, blue denim and even brown trousers. It also goes really well with an MG Sports Car, most Bromptons, and the recycling bin out the back of your favourite wine bar.

The sole sports our classic ICH BIN ATHEIST design.

Begin by finding out the length of your foot in cm (see the graphic below on how to do that), then calculate your European size, according to this formula:

SIZE = 1.5 X (FOOT LENGTH IN CM + 1.5)

That means, if your foot length is 28.5cm, you should add 1.5, to give you 30. Then multiply 30 by 1.5, to give you a European Shoe Size of 45 (assuming you don't have a very wide foot, in which case you might want to consider going up one size to 46).

For a more detailed breakdown, see our size guide page. Or email us (hello@atheistberlin.com) with any sizing questions you might have.
