Kitten Testicle Grey has been our best-seller for 13 years and, whenever we try out a new shoemaker, that's the shoe we challenge them to make. 

We recently made a few samples with a new atelier and they turned out pretty good. Still, they're samples - a shoemaker's first attempt - and there are some imperfections, so it wouldn't be right to sell them at full price.

So far, they seem to have performed pretty well, but generally shoe production gets better with repetition and some of the more invisible qualities (e.g. durability of the gluing) only become clear after a lot more wear than we've had the opportunity to give them. 

So, if you're happy to take a small risk, and embrace a new expression of an old classic, then these Seconds (B-ware) can be yours for a handsomely reduced price (€80 less than the non-sample version, for our VAT-paying EU customers).  

They're sold as is and non-returnable. But, whatever happens, we find it hard to imagine any situation where they won't be amongst the most comfortable experiences your feet have ever footed. 

They have all the qualities of our usual Kitten Testicle Grey; handmade from super soft nubuck, lined with supple calfskin, and bottomed-off with a rubber ICH BIN ATHEIST sole. 

And, best of all, grey is a superb vehicle for colourful shoelaces. We'll send a couple of pairs with every order - feel free to leave a note with your preferences; we can't guarantee every colour, but we'll try our best.
