INVITING TEST SUBJECTS

We've built a new shoe which is slightly experimental: the leather is new, the shoemakers are new, there's a little more room in the toe box, and we're trying out some new reinforcements and other details.

Given "Deep Choc" is not yet heavily road-tested, we'd like to invite guinea pigs to give it a whirl, for the friendly experimental price of just €175 (plus shipping).

We discovered the leather at our tannery friends in the far West of Germany. It's a delicious, warm, deep, chocolate, brown aniline, with copper undertones, which develops a beautiful patina with wear. It feels slightly stiffer at first, than some of our usual leathers; so it may need a little breaking in, but we think the beauty is worth it.

Being brown, there's nothing experimental about the position this shoe will take in your wardrobe. It's a classic all-rounder; the colour works with everything and you can wear it all year round, whether casually or more dressed-up.

Needless to say, if you become an owner of Deep Choc, we'll be grateful for any and all feedback.

green measuring tape - Atheist Shoes

Begin by finding out the length of your foot in cm (see the graphic below on how to do that), then calculate your European size, according to this formula:

SIZE = 1.5 X (FOOT LENGTH IN CM + 1.5)

That means, if your foot length is 28.5cm, you should add 1.5, to give you 30. Then multiply 30 by 1.5, to give you a European Shoe Size of 45 (assuming you don't have a very wide foot, in which case you might want to consider going up one size to 46).
